Aegis 100W by GeekVape is by far the most elegant waterproof, dustproof and shockproof mod I’ve seen so far. Making a mod which is 810G-516.6 military grade shockproof and yet attractive and stylish was a design challenge with a highly successful end result at a reasonable price making it a top mod choice, all thanks to Justin from GeekVape GM.

Aegis 100W fires in a flash. No delay with this board so thumbs up to GeekVape for that! I really hate when a mod has a noticeable delay. Even a half-second delay is rather annoying for me so if you’re as fussy about firing as I am, this mod won’t disappoint you.
The maximum wattage output of this mod is 100W. If you like more heat to your hits, Aegis 100W will give you huge clouds and amazing flavor. Now, that’s certainly more than enough for most vapers. For direct to lung hits, I rarely go past 50W anyway since I don’t really like hot vapor.
What I also like is the rigid and solid design of this pretty beast of a mod. Every part of the mod is held in place by 5T type screws (except the screen protector), which makes the mod robust and durable even in extreme situations.
This robust mod will stand up to some really harsh conditions. You can take it everywhere and expect the mod to survive all sorts of shocks, drops, bumps and even water submersion.

Now, there’s no point in testing your mod as it has already been torture-tested. I certainly wouldn’t do this to my mod. It is good to know, however, that I can take it with me on fishing or camping trips and expect the mod to go through all the harsh scenarios with no damages.
The spring-loaded 510 connection with a gold-plated pin seems really good and is also screwed onto the mod rather than being press fit. It’s positioned toward the center of the device, making atomizer overhang a non-issue even for a 30mm diameter atomizer.
As for the battery door on the bottom of the mod, to make Aegis 100W a shockproof, waterproof and dustproof mod, GeekVape went for a threaded cap-like design instead. It has a metal tap that you use to screw and unscrew the battery cap.
The battery compartment takes one 26650 battery, but you can also use one 18650, using to the Styrofoam adapter included in the kit. The threaded battery cap also protects the battery slot from water, liquid or dust.
The micro-USB port is hidden on the top of the mod, and you’ll have to unscrew that plate and remove a little silicone cap to reach it. Aegis 100W doesn’t support onboard charging, but it is firmware upgradable.
The only time you’ll only need to access this port is if you want to upgrade the mod. The plate and the silicone cap prevent water or liquid from getting into the USB port. There are also some venting holes there.
Compact sized (88.6mm x 37,8mm x 46,6mm) this mode is made of metal (aluminum and zinc alloy), LSR (Liquid Silicone Rubber), plastic (fire button and display protector only) and genuine leather. It’s available in different finishes.
The OLED display itself is large and bright enough to see even in sunlight. You can adjust the brightness of the screen by holding the “-” or the “+” button and the fire button down at the same time. How cool is that?
Opposite the display, we have the most elegant element of this mod, a section wrapped in stitched genuine leather. It feels great to the touch, which I like although it bumps up the price a bit.
The medium-sized fire button is one of the neatest design features with the light-switch shape. It has a great clicky feel to it and feels comfortable for thumb or trigger style of firing. The “+” and “-” buttons are below the display and they are just as clicky as the power button. The buttons have no any rattle at all.
The GeekVape Aegis 100W has one of the most user-friendly menus out there and navigating through all the different options is easy since there’s no menu system to go into: all the settings and adjustments are done on the home screen.
One of the features which let you fully customize your vaping experience is the VPC mode. There you can create custom wattage/temperature curves for a personalized vaping experience.
Overall, the menu system is simple, intuitive, and easy to get used to. The mod reads resistances very accurately and has a useful “reset resistance” feature. It fires instantly and power ramp-up is lightning-fast.
At this price, with an excellent build quality, great looks and easy customization, Aegis 100W is an excellent deal!
